Heat Pumps

The Principle of Heat Pump TechnologyWith the focus on renewable technologies air and ground source heating systems are becoming a popular choice.

At Aspect Temperature Control we specialise in the field of heat pump technology, from new bespoke system design, installation and maintenance to diagnostic fault finding and repairs on existing heat pump systems.

There are two primary heat pump systems types available:-

Air Source Heat Pumps

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) work by extracting heat from the outside air. This is then used to supply heat to the building through fan coils or wet systems (radiators or under floor heating)
The outdoor units are very versatile and can be used in many locations, such as on a roof or at ground level and ASHP are able to work in temperatures as low as -20°c.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps extract the heat energy from the ground and transfer it through the refrigeration cycle to a higher temperature; this is then transferred into ducted air systems or into a wet system.
